To start with this, please take a look at health education website which will provide you with a catalogue of resources about key public health topics. Through this website the New Zealand Ministry of Health Manatu Hauora makes the health education resources available to the public, including health professionals, to promote a better understanding of public health and preventive measures that contribute to maintaining health and wellbeing for you and your family. This website also has some resources in Asian languages.
 

Child & Youth Health

 Well Child Tamaraki Ora Programme: A series of health assessment and support services for children and their families from birth to five years. It is free service funded by Ministry of Health. 

Immunisation for Infants
Immunisation is recommended by the World Health Organisation, the New Zealand Ministry of Health and medical authorities. Immunisations are free to all children in New Zealand. Talk to your GP or Practice Nurse to book your immunisation.

Women’s Health

The public health service for childbirth in New Zealand for PR and NZ citizens is free. You can choose where you have your baby-at home, in a birthing centre or small maternity unit, or in hospital. Please see here for more information.

BIrthcare: Public service maternity, birthing facilities, and postnatal stays

Immunisation while Pregnant
Immunisation against influenza (the flu), and pertussis (whooping cough) during pregnancy is recommended by the Ministry of Health and is free. Influenza immunisation is free for pregnant women during the influenza season, usually early March to the end of July. Talk to your midwife, GP or Practice Nurse to book your immunisation.
